The Concept
A symposium featuring sessions with African traditional rulers discussing the role of African traditional institutions in development and trade. In these sessions, traditional rulers and organizers will share knowledge and provide perspectives on the importance of traditional institutions in building the Cultural Economy and developing Intra Africa travel and trade.
Vision
The Emir of Kano will host African traditional rulers at the Kano Durbar 2023 to experience the spectacular annual Durbar festival dating back over 200 years when horses were used in warfare to protect the Emirate. Guests will also experience the first installment of Cultural Journey Experiences in Kano and other historical tours of Kano.
